Captured Reflections

There are only two things I ever wanted to be when I grew up. (Besides a mommy which I gratefully have enjoyed that beautiful experience for over 30 years.) I’ve always dreamed of being an artist or a writer.
At a very young age, my dad and I began to do art together. Drawing and creating stories on paper. By 13 I was doing pencil portraits of friends and faces from magazine.
I’ve finally created a space in my life to create my art and now want to share it with you. I give you Captured Reflections - freezing moments and memories and using them to inspire my art.

Graphite, Charcoal And PanPastel Paintings.

I have been drawing portraits since high school, about age 13. I remember Mr O'Brien, my grade ten art teacher asking me who the lady in one of my portraits projects was. He was disappointed when I told him it was a lady from a magazine. He was hoping he could meet her LOL!

When my younger brother was 3 yrs old, he thought he would "help Tody" and scribbled all over a partly finished portrait of my boyfriend. I was so upset! Serves me right for leaving a work in progress within reach of a budding artist! Wes you little rat!

I love drawing babies most of all. Capturing their softness and sweetness is so special.
